80 Kilograms Vegetables Harvested at KPKP Department Office

Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Department harvested 80 kilograms of vegetables from urban farming conducted in the office, Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya, Central Jakarta, Monday (9/2).

We want to give an example to our employees and residents that urban farming is easy to be done

Jakarta KPKP Department Head, Darjamuni explained, it consisted of 60 kilograms spinach and 20 kilograms choy sum (locally known as caisim).

"We share it to our employees in KPKP Department,"  he mentioned.

Urban Farming will Be Developed in Each Mayor Office

According to Jakarta KPKP Department's Agriculture Division Acting Head (Plt), Suharini Eliawati, vegetable cultivation can be done even though in small pieces of land.

"We want to give an example to our employees and residents that urban farming is easy to be done," she asserted.

By practicing urban farming, she continued, people can consume varieties of healthy and fresh vegetables.

"It is one of our efforts in encouraging people to fulfill their nutrition intake independently while realizing food security in Jakarta," she explained.
